The Smokers Club Tour and More Curren$y

Honestly the best I can do right now is a quick update, still haven't fully recovered from last night. Date party? What?

I caught this on Twitter right before I left for the night. My man Curren$y The Hot Spitta is a twitter monster and dude loooves to post. Last night he let out another new track from Verde Terrace prod. by Drama aka Gangsta Grillz and had it trending at number three in like ten minutes. Gotta love it. Honestly it doesn't sound like a Drama track though so it might just be a one-off release. The new track #corvettedoors was apparently recorded just minutes before it's release. The song is dope but takes $pitta right back to his comfort zone rhyming over low horns, a muted bass line and hushed drums with a sprinkle of synth and of course a catchy chorus. Take a listen, here.

$pit Vicious is busy gearing up for part two of last year's celebrated Smoker's Club Tour which featured Big K.R.I.T., Smoke DZA, and Trademark. This year the lineup gets a twist as the reigning champ of weed-rap, after Snoop of course, Method Man, headlines the tour. The rest of the lineup is definitely more filled out than last time and features many of the latest additions to the JETS crew including, Feind and CornerBoyP. Honestly the lineup looks good, the headliners alone are worth seeing it as KRIT and DZA are blowing up in their own right. If you haven't checked out DZA's mixtape George Kush da Button it's a must listen. Relaxed, laid back, and if nothing else, single minded, but DZA sounds ill in production and has a great flow. The tour is set to be a lot of fun, as that crew is known for mixing things up on stage. With $pitta's leg in a cast don't expect too much energy, although Tyler the Creator did it, and this year the tour has added two more members as official "hosts". The tour kicks off in my neighborhood, New Haven, but I doubt I'll make it down there to go see it. My best bet is catching it on the 14th in NYC and staying with my boy @SPCverified. So if you're gonna be there gimme a holler, if you have access I highly recommend you go see it and if you do, let me know how it is.

And yes, the tour is sponsored by RAW papers, HA!
